Club Sunday Runs
Sunday April 14th Rongotea Car Show
As previously advised, the scheduled April Sunday run is to the Lions car show at Rongotea, just south of Sanson and about 1 ¼ hours and 85km north of Waikanae.
The organisers will allocate a parking area for MGs and there will be a prize for the best example on display. Judging by Bill Denize. Entry is $20.00 per car and must be cash. No EFTPOS.
Vehicles for display must be on site by 9.00.
The event coincides with the birthday of MG founder Cecil Kimber and there will be a birthday cake for club members. We will be joining up with the Manawatu club at the site.
Proceeds to go to the Palmerston North/Manawatu Hospice.
For Wellington members I suggest meeting outside Harcourts in Waikanae at 07.30 for a 07.45 start. Those people east of the hills may wish to travel via the Pahiatua Track to Rongotea.
The important thing is that I need to advise numbers before the event. If you intend to go and enter as a display vehicle, whether you travel with the club or individually, please let me know by the 8thApril.
Alternatively if you just wish to attend as a member of the public, the entrance charge is $10.00.
There should be limited refreshments available to purchase or bring your own.
