Classic Racing

The Wellington club runs several classic race meetings throughout the year.

MG Classic

The main meeting is the MG Classic run each November. This is a two-day meeting with an additional practice day on the Friday. The meeting has now been run for over 30 years and is regarded as the foremost classic meeting in New Zealand.

Surgery Sprints

Five times a year the club is involved in running The Surgery Sprint Series which has been a feature of the local club racing calendar for 20+ years now and for the last twelve years and has been generously sponsored by The Surgery. Responsibility for running the race is shared around the classic clubs, MG Wellington having total responsibility for one meeting and also assists other clubs with the remaining four.

As far as motorsport goes it is fairly low-key, so is a great entry point for those who want to try their hand at motor racing.
